After 3 to 4 days, it is time to move the tractor to a new spot.
This looks like a nice spot in need of weeding! You can barely see the newly planted tree.
Chicken tractor in new spot, notice the old spot to the left of the chicken tractor.
Day 1: Here it is in the new spot, and the chickens are already going to work on the weeds.

Day 2: The vegetation is about 50% removed. They do a really good job on grasses, but have a hard time with the Red Root Pigweed. They do eat the seed heads and leaves off the Pigweed, but leave the stems.

Day 3: The vegetation is about 75% removed. The tall Pigweed remains. The chicken tractor gets 1 more day to work on this area.

Day 4: Last day, grass is 90% removed, Pigweed is 60% removed, so we leave the tractor where it was for another day, to see if the chickens would eat more of the Pigweed. Notice the new live weather vane on top of the small barn behind the chicken tractor.

Another view of the work done by the chicken tractor. Tomorrow the tractor will be moved 12' to a new section that needs work done to it. In this case, it will probably be to the right.

Once it is moved, the process starts all over.
